Of course I wish I were home for Thanksgiving. Nothing would be better than a beer at the Peekskill Brewery with John and other friends tonight, followed by seeing my Aunt and Uncles’ new house in NJ tomorrow. However, that’s just not possible for obvious reasons.
On the other hand, the beach weather here sure is superior to the storm on the East Coast right now. And tomorrow I will be having Thanksgiving Dinner with the Ambassador at her house. As a token of my condolences, I here offer my personal favorite cover of the Bob Dylan written classic, Wagon Wheel, by Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers. Yes, you heard me right, I prefer this version to Old Crow Medicine Show and Darius Rucker. I suppose it is appropriate today for all of us – me wishing I could be traveling along the East Coast, and many of my friend at the same time loathing the experience and wishing to just make it to the ones that they love.
Happy Thanksgiving buddy! I got 8 inches of snow and lost power in my apartment. You aren’t missing much.
